The University of Ghana is signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ankara University, Turkey to commence collaborations between the two institutions.

Prof. Francis Dodoo, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Development, received the delegation on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu.

The Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship Program promotes food security and economic growth by providing training and collaborative research opportunities to fellows from developing and middle-income countries. Applications are currently being solicited for potential fellows for the 2015 Borlaug Fellowship Program.

COVERAGE OF FELLOWSHIP

The Wellcome Trust has put together an emergency multi-million-pound initiative for research that could help to contain the Ebola epidemic in West Africa and future outbreaks of infectious disease, alongside long-term investment in African science. This initiative is an effort to curtail the deadly viral disease currently gripping West Africa.

The Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in collaboration with the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) is inviting applications for the "28^th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA)".

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is inviting applications for the Round 14 of the Grand Challenges Explorations, which has awarded over 1,070 grants in over 58 countries to date.

The Office of Research, Innovation & Development (ORID) is pleased to inform you of the call for applications for the 2014/2015 Faculty Development Grant for PhD Research.

The African Innovation Foundation (AIF) has opened the call for applications for the 4th edition of the Innovation Prize for Africa (IPA) competition, 2015. The IPA is awarded annually to African innovators to enable and encourage the development of creative ideas and techniques to overcome some of the challenges faced by the continent and support sustainable development.
