Research Misconduct

The University of Ghana (UG) believes that incidents of misconduct or deliberate wrongdoing in research is a threat to the underlying principles governing scientific research and is against the motto of the University that is “Proceed with Integrity”.  Misconduct in research is also diametrically opposite to the mission of the University, which seeks “to develop world-class human resources and capabilities to meet national developmental needs and global challenges through quality teaching, learning, research, and knowledge dissemination”.

The Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID) has setup a Research Integrity Unit (RUI) that serves as the University of Ghana's independent hub for handling issues regarding and relating to research misconduct.
