In her role as a Research/Administrative Assistant, Grace works closely with the Research Administrator on administrative research related duties. She also assists with the monthly compilation of the 'Research Funding Opportunities Alert!' magazine produced by the Research Services Unit of ORID and circulated monthly on the wider University via the University's staff e-mail system. She is responsible for the coordination of proposal development meetings for the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (ORID) as well as general administrative duties. She also offers general administrative support on research projects coordinated by the Office. Currently, she assists with the University of Ghana Diaspora Linkage Programme under the "Next Generation of Academics in Africa: Enhancing UG's capacity to deliver post-graduate training and research" project funded by Carnegie Corporation, as well as the "Building Capacity to meet the Climate Change Challenge" project funded by the Open Society Institute. In the absence of an IT personnel in the ORID and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Statistics, Grace sometimes attends to computer-related queries for colleagues.
