Mrs. Afua Yeboah is a Senior Assistant Registrar at the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID) at the University of Ghana. She joined the University of Ghana in 2007 and was assigned to the School of Research and Graduate Studies with responsibility for the research administration schedule. From 2007 – 2010, she was responsible for managing the grants administered by the university’s research committee, organizing capacity building workshops for faculty, staff and students and managing the graduate theses office.

From 2010-2017, she led activities of the embryonic research services unit of ORID with responsibilities for finding and disseminating funding opportunities, managing research grants and contract agreements, coordinating visiting research student programmes, managing the university’s flagship Research Grant Scheme as well as managing the institutional nomination processes for a number of external/ funded scholarship schemes including USHEPiA, CAPREx, Commonwealth Scholarships, Bromkamp Scholarships, Fox Fellowships among others.

She has served in a number of roles within the research support system of the university and is currently focused on providing support to the leadership of the Office in ensuring that research operations is run efficiently and effectively to respond to the needs of the university’s researchers.

She graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Planning (2001) and holds an MBA in Finance (2004) from the University of Ghana. She has taken up fellowships which have contributed to her professional growth and development including the CAPREx Research Management Fellowship at the University of Cambridge in 2013 and the IREX University Administration Support Programme Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015.
