Beatrice Sakyibea Biney-Nyamekye is the Research Development officer assigned to the Institute of African Studies, Regional Institute of Population Studies, Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy, Centre for Social Policy Studies, Centre for Migration Studies and Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy, all of the College of Humanities. She assumed the position of a Research Development Officer in August 2012. Prior to this, she worked with the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission as Assistant Wildlife Officer in charge of the Collaborative Resource Management Unit at Elubo in the Western Region of Ghana. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resource Management and a Master of Philosophy Degree in Development Studies, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana.

Her duties include the facilitation of research, building of portfolio of funded research projects, and assisting in generating research funds within these research institutes and centres.
