Mrs. Afia Serwaa Attrams

Afia joined the University of Ghana in August 2012 as a Research Development Officer. She holds a BA in Geography and Resources Development from University of Ghana, Legon and an MSc in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University in UK.

Currently, she is an RDO in the College of Humanities and handles specifically the School of Social Sciences and the School of Arts. She is to facilitate, co-ordinate and promote research activities at the College of Humanities. She is responsible for making available information on funding opportunities for faculty members and post graduates and assist in generating research funding for the faculty. She is also to ensure that the image of the College of Humanities is enhanced through deliberate efforts to promote the School of Social Sciences and School of Arts research publications in well acclaimed journals. She is to build a portfolio of funded research projects in the two Schools and contribute that to the annual Research Report of ORID which will provide a review of research projects underway in the university at the end of the academic year. She is to ensure that, the profiles of all academic and research staff is updated on the university’s website all year through to enhance the College’s image.

Before joining the university, Afia worked as a Relationship Manager in a financial institution where she managed a portfolio of corporate relationships.
