Pro Vice-Chancellor Presents Maiden Edition of ‘Inspiring UG’ to the Vice-Chancellor

The Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID), has presented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu with the first copy of the maiden edition of the University of Ghana’s research magazine ‘Inspiring UG’.

The formal presentation was made by Professor Francis Dodoo, Pro Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation and Development (RID). Professor Dodoo was accompanied by Mrs. Afua Yeboah, Senior Assistant Registrar (ORID), and members of the Publication, Dissemination and Translation Team. Also present was Mrs. Joana Omaboe, Assistant Registrar of the Public Affairs Directorate

Professor Dodoo indicated that the research magazine is intended to catalogue significant research activities and scientific endeavours undertaken by UG faculty and in a format and language accessible to a general audience.

 

In congratulating ORID for the publication, Professor Owusu, stated that despite extensive groundbreaking research underway at the University of Ghana, avenues for showcasing the accomplishments of faculty have been limited, and he expressed hope that the ‘Inspiring UG’ publication would not be short-lived. He prayed that ORID would continue to showcase University of Ghana’s scholarly achievements to local and global audiences.
