External Funds

The ORID ACCOUNTS/ EXTERNAL FUND UNIT oversees the financial administration of internal and external project funds. The Office provides general accounting services to Principal Investigators (PI’s). Their mandate includes providing essential budget preparation support to secure funding, managing project budgets, generating invoices for release of funds from donors, disbursement of funds for project activities and preparing financial reports for donors.

The ORID Accounts Office liaises with Internal and External Auditors and serves as a link between the Finance Directorate and the PI’s. In addition, the timely preparation of financial reports in line with funding requirements ensures that funding inflows to the University continue, and keep research ongoing.
