CALL FOR 2018 DAAD SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
The Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID) wishes to inform the university community that the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) is seeking applications for the 2018 DAAD PhD Scholarship in Development Studies. The programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
ELIGIBILITY
All Applicants:
- must have successfully completed at least a two-year University degree
- must have completed their last University degree not more than 6 years ago at the time of application
- should clearly show commitment and motivation
- must have thorough knowledge of the language of instruction
- must be nationals or permanent residents of a Sub-Sahara African country
- should generally be :
(i) staff of a public or private university
(ii) candidate considered for teaching or research staff recruitment
(iii) from the public sector or DAFI-Alumni (Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative).
Female applicants and candidates from less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate in the programme.
